Hospital Administrator

Working as a hospital administrator requires the ability to handle responsibility while under a lot of pressure. Health Organization CEO or COO

With an MHA, you’ll be qualified to work in administration at other medical-related organizations as well, such as insurance companies, charities, and government organizations. Along with working as a CEO, you can also work as a COO – chief operating officer – or in another management position. By far, the highest-paying job, however, is that of a CEO, as you can expect to make an average of $180,000 per year in this position.

Nursing Home Administrator

Specializing in nursing home administration is a smart move because workers in this field are in high demand. There are a number of special considerations and training you need to work in a nursing home, especially as an administrator, as there have been vast problems with nursing home abuse over the past few decades.

Medical Office Manager

As a medical office manager, you’ll be in charge of products at a larger organization, such as a hospital. It’ll be your job to oversee the entire office, providing support to the entire staff. To get started in this career, you need as little as an associate’s degree, but going on to get your bachelor’s degree and, eventually, MHA, means that you’ll be qualified to work at larger organizations for higher salaries.

Health Information Administrator

With an MHA degree, you can also work as a health information administrator. In the medical world, records are extremely important, as the wrong medication going to a patient can mean the difference between life and death. If you work as a health information administrator, it will be your responsibility to double check paperwork and maintain records.
